Even as a child, I couldn't keep my hands off my parents' camera - even if that occasionally resulted in empty rolls of film. In 2012, I completed my training as a photography specialist, and since then photography has been a daily part of my life. 

In 2014, I founded my own small photography company, focussing on business photography: from product images and business portraits to reportages for hotels and restaurants.

My passion has already taken me halfway around the world for photo assignments - for example to Sri Lanka, where I was able to document an Ayurveda resort. But I'm also out and about with my camera outside of work - be it at sunrise in the mountains or exploring unknown places. ‘I used to look at the pictures in travel books and holiday catalogues and dream of standing on those very beaches. Today, other people do that - with the photos I've taken.’

I am convinced that good photos do not depend on the camera, but on the photographer's eye. Sometimes all it takes is a change of perspective to discover something special in the everyday.

And although I work digitally a lot, I still like to reach for my old analogue camera, insert a black-and-white film and treat myself to the decelerated moment of conscious photography.

In my courses, I want to pass on exactly this enthusiasm - practical, uncomplicated and with a lot of joy in photography.
