Intermediate One-Day Photography Course

These courses are for anyone who already knows the basics.  We recommend that photography generalists take the Intermediate and Lightroom classes after the Beginners class, plus practice workshops to lock in the learning and stay inspired.  If you already have a specific interest, you can skip ahead to the next section to focus on the skills that are most important to you.

Intermediate Level Photography Courses

Intermediate Intensive Full Day Course

Now that you know how to use your camera and get the correct settings for different situations (otherwise check the beginners classes!), it's time to dive deeper into the real art of photography. In this one day class (4 hours of indoors plus 3 hours outdoors practice), we will cover the most important photographic subjects such as:<ul><li>Characteristics of light : size, direction &amp; color</li><li>Managing natural light with reflectors, diffusers</li><li>Artificial light: How to use on &amp; off camera flash</li><li>Mastering composition</li><li>Camera controls advanced settings</li><li>Portrait advanced tips</li></ul>Then we will have a three hours of full practice session with hands on exercises on what you have learned. What do I have to bring?<ul><li>Your camera:&nbsp;DSLR or mirrorless or superzoom</li><li>If you don’t have a camera, we offer free DSLR camera to use during the course (please tell us in advance after your registration).</li><li>Positive attitude and passion for visual arts 🙂</li></ul>
