Intermediate Intensive Full Day Course

Course Info

Now that you know how to use your camera and get the correct settings for different situations (otherwise check the beginners classes!), it's time to dive deeper into the real art of photography.

In this one day class (4 hours of indoors plus 3 hours outdoors practice), we will cover the most important photographic subjects such as:

  • Characteristics of light : size, direction & color
  • Managing natural light with reflectors, diffusers
  • Artificial light: How to use on & off camera flash
  • Mastering composition
  • Camera controls advanced settings
  • Portrait advanced tips

Then we will have a three hours of full practice session with hands on exercises on what you have learned.


What do I have to bring?

  • Your camera: DSLR or mirrorless or superzoom
  • If you don’t have a camera, we offer free DSLR camera to use during the course (please tell us in advance after your registration).
  • Positive attitude and passion for visual arts 🙂
Course Outline

During the intermediate intensive course, you will learn:

  • Advanced camera settings: focusing, camera's light meter, exposure metering modes
  • Getting into manual exposure.
  • Choose the correct color space
  • Characteristics of light : size, direction & color
  • Color Theory
  • Long exposures in the city.
  • Using flash
  • Portraiture: Posing and using the available light
