I began my photographic odyssey in the mid-1990s with a Minolta XD7 and a passion for concert photography, influenced by the magic of Kodak T-MAX black and white films. Even in the digital age, I have never abandoned the soul of traditional photography. My passion is still black &amp; white, which I often, but not exclusively, use in architecture, landscape, portrait, reportage and street photography. Since 2010, I have been sharing my experience and passion in numerous workshops and lectures. These events are not just about teaching you the technical usage of a camera - I may guide you to technical finesse, but our journey together goes deeper. It's about nurturing your creative voice, shaping your unique point of view, and bringing your artistic identity to center stage. My personal inspiration is enriched by an extensive collection of original prints and photo books. It is all about connecting – that is what photography stands for.
Daniel’s first camera ever was actually an Apple iPhone 3G S. Starting in 2014, mobile photography has helped him to gain an easy and playful access to photography and to express his strong design sense and intuition for aesthetics. Ever since, Daniel wants to connect people with their environment to illustrate the soul of a place. By using all kinds of compositional and harmonic elements such as lines, forms, patterns, light and proportions, Daniel playfully educates the viewer that beautiful and artsy moments can be found everywhere and at any time.
In his approach as a quiet photographer, he mindfully observes the environment to capture random occurring and fleeting moments. Putting his captured impressions into a temporary spotlight, visually isolated from the surrounding chaos, he carefully masters the balancing act of getting an aesthetical interpretation without creating a posed appearance and highlighting the surprisingly appealing strangeness of a place.
As part of this concept, he intentionally uses his smartphone only. For Daniel, it is crucial that mobile photography is immediate and reactive and allows him to create visual stories and sensitive insights without disturbing the environment. In 2019, some of his work has been shared by Apple and Adobe. In addition, his work has been awarded at the International Photography Awards (Smartphone Category) and as Grand Prize Winner of the Mobile Photography Awards. One of his pictures, taken with his iPhone, made it to the Shortlist of the renowned Sony World Photography Awards.

Sebastian Grundgeir is living and working as a trained architect and self-educated photographer in Zurich. Born in Hamburg he went out to study architecture in Hannover and discovered his passion for photography whilst studying. However, his profession as well as his love of nature and the alpine soon called and made him move to Switzerland.His photographic emphasis lies in architectural photography and landscape photography. Besides the mountains and Swiss architecture, which form the main body of work, his portfolio holds projects across the entire Alpine region and beyond. Sebastian’s photographs portrait moments in time, which he understands as a mixture of actual documentation and emotional illustration. He stresses the elements that were the incentive for the capture, accentuates colors and forms, without unnaturally distorting them. His compositions are consciously chosen, composed and most of the time carefully planned.

Following a decade of working as a researcher in wildlife conservation, specializing in large felid ecology, Malini Pittet turned to wildlife photojournalism. The reason for the change in career was based on the possibility to reach a greater audience to create awareness aboutconservation through photography and story-telling. Malini was born and brought up in India and moved to Europe to attend university. She completed a Master degree in Biodiversity Conservation and Management at the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology, University of Kent. Her various research projects gave her the opportunity to study leopards and tigers in India, Arabian leopards in Yemen as well as jaguars, pumas and ocelots in the Peruvian Amazon.Malini loves traveling and photographing wildlife around the world. Her travels have taken her to many countries around the world such as Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Oman, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Madagascar, Seychelles, Brazil and many more!The combination of wildlife photography and traveling brings together a perfect combination, something Malini is keen to share. The photographic interests of Matthias Gaberthüel are versatile and this reflects his extensive portfolio. He has been carrying around his camera for more than two decades and through his occupation as an agricultural scientist he had the opportunity to discover much of the world. Travelling always inspires him over and over and influence his work. His picture language is characterized by harmony and aesthetics, balancing art and technique. Matthias lives with his family in the Leimental near Basel.

A Pharmacist by education and a photographer by trade, my journey started in Denmark after moving there from my home country Egypt where I started to look at photography as a career option, not just a hobby. Moving to Switzerland fuelled this passion with an environment that allows capturing the most memorable emotions wrapped in the most breathtaking landscape. It was also when I got certified from the New York Institute of Photography through their online program. I now have a studio in Reinach BL, and enjoy taking portraits of individuals and businesses, with a particular interest in digital art and more extravagant, creative portraiture.

After completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Organizational Communication, Stefan mainly devoted himself to photography and video production. His great passion is travel photography, which offers a wonderful mix of portraits and landscapes. That’s why he travels the world with his camera again and again, always in the hunt for special photo moments.The photographic works have been published by National Geographic Germany, ZEISS Lenspire and Sony Fotospiegel for example.When Stefan is not traveling around the world, he shares his knowledge with the participants in photo courses and workshops, realizes photography and video projects for companies and works for Swiss Radio and Television.Stefan sees photography as the most beautiful form of visual art and as something bigger than the photographer himself.

I am a Brazilian photographer with an undergraduate degree in Fashion from the Federal University of State of Minas Gerais and a graduate degree in Designer and Culture from the University FUMEC. I lived in New York City where I studied photography at the School of Visual Arts moving subsequently to Barcelona. I now reside in Zurich. During my last 13 years I changed the direction of my path as a photographer. Photography has always been my passion, my therapy, my joy to wake up at sunrise and my most fulfilling experience. I see the world through the frames of the camera and beauty in every corner what makes me year after year feel the need to go deeper into this art. After many corporate years in Eventmanagement and Communication, Flavia took the leap and became self dependant in the photography field. Even though she started with landscape photography many years ago, she now specialized in emotional photography. On one side, she captures weddings, newborn, events and portraits, and on the other side, she travels with NGOs to document their charitable projects. Philipp Funke discovered his passion for photography in his early childhood. Coming from a family of architects, his interest in the interplay of formal and social aspects was fostered. He studied architecture at the Berlin University of the Arts and at the Macintosh School of Art in Glasgow. In 2006, he graduated with a master's degree.After ten years as an architect, he concentrated on his work as a photographer and completed further training in visual design with a focus on photography at the School for Design in Zurich.As a primary motif, architectural content characterizes his work. He analyzes the situations depicted on a formal as well as on a political and social level, often abandoning the purely documentary character of photography and giving the images an intrinsic value by making his original intention visible.In various group exhibitions in Germany and Switzerland, he mainly showed his large-format works such as "lichen structures", "Nature of Geometry" or "Opening Red Doors". The latter series about the rooms of Enver Hoxha's villa in Tirana was awarded in the category architecture at the International Photography Awards 2021.Philipp Funke lectured at the University of Liechtenstein, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich and the Fotoclub Schweiz on various topics of (architectural) photography. He lives and works in New York, Zurich and Berlin.

Placido Faranda is an Award-winning and Worldwide published (National Geographic, Lonely planet, Vanity Fair, ABCnews, GQ etc.) aerial photographer whose style reflects a constant quest for new landscape colors and contrasts. Placido has been passionate about photography for over 10 years, combining DSLR and mirrorless camera technology to shoot travel and street photography.Since 2016 he’s focused exclusively on drone photography, with a very distinctive top-down style that’s gained international attention on social media (TOP 50 aerial photographer of 2016 on Instagram’s @FROMWHEREIDRONE, an authority on aerial photography). In 2017, his picture “Lady in Red” was a finalist at the Sony World Photography Awards (travel category), placing it in the top 10 of 105,692 images entered from 182 countries. The same picture was also included in the World Photography Organization’s Sony Awards Traveling Exhibitions in London, Milan, Paris and Berlin. Another of his pictures, “Solidified Lava vs Forest” was awarded second place at the 2017 PX3, Prix de la Photographie Paris (landscape category). “Solidified Lava vs Forest” gained further worldwide exposure after being featured on National Geographic’s homepage as the “Picture of the day” in the United States, China, Japan, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Brazil and Portugal. In October 2017 the picture was awarded second place at the IPA (International Photography Awards) and chosen by the awards’ curator for the “IPA Best of Show” exhibition in New York. In November 2017 “Solidified Lava vs Forest” was awarded 1st place at ND awards 2017 and chosen over 6849 entries from 89 countries.In 2018, for the second year in a row, his picture “The Big Meringue” is finalist at the Sony World Photography Awards (Landscape and Nature category) placing it in the top 10 of 129,338 images entered from 183 countries. In June 2018 the same picture was awarded Winner of “San Francisco Bay International Photo Show 2018”.

Since finishing the apprenticeship as Fotografin EFZ in 2014, i work as an independent photographer.I am really into portraying People and also love to shoot fairy Fashion Stories.As&nbsp;freelance photographer i work in the fields of press and advertising photography since 2018.So my main&nbsp;work is corporate, portrait and editorial&nbsp;photography.Growing up in a small community in the canton of Zurich, i currently lives with my pug lady in the canton of Lucerne but still have my Atelier in Zurich where work.As photography has a lot to do with storytelling, i love to put&nbsp;a message in every picture i&nbsp;take. Niels is a passionate photographer. In his professional life he has been able to work for many companies and private individuals.&nbsp;As a visually very demanding person, Niels works in a wide variety of areas. Whether in landscape, street photography, architectural photography or in the studio, he is always looking for aesthetic perfection. He has now made a name for himself primarily as a portrait and event photographer.

Duilio A. Martins, was born in 1981 in São Paulo, Brazil. In 2000 he went to England, to study the language and experience the European art and culture. There he studied photography which had been, until then, only a hobby. After that he followed a sculpture training. Since then he works as sculptor, fine art photographer, teacher and photographer specialised in reproduction of art works. In 2010 he moved to Switzerland after living for sometime in Paris and Norway. For the last 5 years he is a guest teacher at the Visual Art School Basel. His photographs and sculptures have been exhibited in Brazil, England, Norway, Germany and Switzerland.&nbsp;

Daniel von Rüdiger (Ph.D.) is a photographer, filmmaker, and musician. He studied Visual Communication, Communication Strategies and Iconic Research in Munich, Augsburg and Basel. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Art Linz for his investigation on the connection of rhythm in work, film and music. In his artistic research, he generates theoretic findings through artistic practice. Daniel von Rüdiger uses photography as a tool for artistic expression as well as for documentation. He works as a social documentary photographer and filmmaker for nonprofit organizations in Nepal and Papua New Guinea. His photographs of the daily life of indigenous people have been exhibited amongst others in the Gropius Bau Berlin, Rietberg Museum Zurich and the Queensland Art Gallery in Brisbane. As a photo-artist, he is represented by the German-based gallery Pablo &amp; Paul.&nbsp;&nbsp;Daniel von Rüdiger uses his DSLR not just to take photos but also for filming. For the Museum of Culture in Basel, he made the award-winning documentary Kanu belong Keram. As a musician, he is also in charge of the soundtracks of his films. He forms together with the guitarist Carl the duo 0101 ( www.0101.wtf ) who produces film scores.&nbsp; Daniel von Rüdiger can look back on more than ten years of teaching in academia. The last years he was lecturer for photography at the Academy of Art and Design, Basel. Besides, he is getting booked as a keynote speaker to spread his knowledge on rhythm and his experiences about Papua New Guinea.

I live and work in Vättis. In 1987 I began to work with photography as a self-taught photographer. From 2006 to 2010 I completed a photographic training with Martin Vogel, Lucerne. In 2008, I joined the association. Since 2009 I have been showing my photographs in regular exhibitions.&nbsp;&nbsp; In 2015 I started to photograph with the digital technique of cross development, in 2017 with the in-camera method of double exposure. Since 2019 I have been working as a freelance photographic artist. My camera is an Olympus OM-D.&nbsp;

Jürgen has a degree in linguistics and film science from the University of Zurich. He started photography in his youth, learning the trade from his father in the field and in their dark room. Through the years, his goal in photography was to find beauty where others didn’t even look for it. To discover locations, perspectives, and stories in unexpected places. Starting out with street and landscape photography, he expanded his portfolio to portraits. His passion is not only take pictures but also to share his experience and insights into the craft and art of photography with others.

Anna Korbut is a photographer from Ukraine. She is mostly in landscape, fine art, portrait and commercial photography. Inspired by nature and human connection to it. Her photographs combine the colourful picturesqueness of classical paintings and modern methods of working with digital images. Peter Coulson, known as the modern age black-and-white master of Photography, specializes in the genres of beauty, fashion and fetish. Photography took an important part in my life while I was studying engineering, because I started to work as an assistant to earn some side money, but it soon grew to be the its pivotal element.As assistant in Milano I enjoyed the best of the profession working alongside with professionals in almost any field, architecture, industrial, fashion, still life, and then after opening my studio, I kept experimenting and working.Witnessing the transition to digital was just fun, I could add yet another skillset to my experience, while retaining my vision.I live in Basel since six years, and I am working for industrial companies, architecture studios, and a wide array of different clients.For the last 10 years I have also been shooting long lasting time-lapses projects depicting a number of subjects, from art installations, to industrial montage or building renovation.

My love of nature and the beauty of the world that surrounds us inspire my photographs. I have a special interest in landscape photography. My photos are characterised by the attention to detail and the observation of light and shadow, which in combination result in beautiful creations. My aim is to represent a mood and a landscape in such a way that the character of the landscape and its uniqueness is preserved. I was born in Italy and had the luck to live in sone of its most beautiful cities: Rome, Venice, Florence and Milan. My official job is civil engineering, beside it I always cultivated my love for all forms of art. I studied acting in Milan and participated in several&nbsp;TV commercials and theater shows… till I found the true art form in photography thanks to Swissphotoclub. I live in Switzerland for 14 years with my family and it was in Zurich, that I picked up an old Reflex camera, felt in love with it and started taking my first courses…. Since then&nbsp;I haven't stopped. More courses, workshops, photo trips until the first direct contacts from agencies that have engaged me for advertising and marketing photos. The beauty! Photography has allowed me to see it everywhere, frequently in the most unexpected places. I walk the streets always with a camera looking for moments to steal, looking for beauty. I love Streetphotography, in all its forms: the minimalism in the geometries of a street, the reflections, the lights and shadows, the details but also the stories that the street can tell us.

Chris Knight was born in Wiesbaden, Germany and hardened by the sweaty, nearly chewable, humidity of Florida. He combines his unconditional love of art history with his conditional love of technology, topping it off with a flair for the cinematic and an uncompromising eye for detail.His work has appeared in or on Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, L Official, GQ,&nbsp;People, MSNBC, ABC, Oxygen, Ocean Drive, and others.Chris is the author of The Dramatic Portrait, a Profoto Legend of Light, Fujifilm Creator, and an instructor at Pratt Institute as well as the New York Film Academy.

My professional journey began with a commercial apprenticeship at Swiss Bank Corporation, now UBS, in St. Gallen. I then worked in the financial sector for over twenty years in Geneva, London, New York and Zurich. After a sabbatical, I decided to take a new path and teach myself web design.As a web designer, it is a matter close to my heart to realize the individual wishes of my customers as versatile as possible. That's why I started to work intensively with Photoshop. Through this process, I not only discovered my artistic streak, but I also learned how to be successful on social media. I got the chance to work with international agencies, brands and artists. These exciting developments have awakened my passion to develop myself continuously. A current and fascinating topic is artificial intelligence and its exciting applications in the world of image creation and editing. I am curious how this new challenge will inspire me and enrich and change my work.

The British-born, New York-based photographer Phil Penman has documented the ever-changing scene of New York City’s streets for more than 25 years. In his career as a news and magazine photographer, with a large body of work in such publications as The Guardian, The Independent, The New York Review of Books, among others, he has photographed major public figures and historical events. In particular, his reportage following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center has featured on NBC’s Today show, as well as on the BBC, History Channel, and Al Jazeera, and his images have been included in the 9/11 Memorial and Museum’s archives.His work covering the pandemic lockdown in New York City has been acquired by the U.S. Library of Congress, whose collection holds work by such great Depression-era documentarians as Walker Evans and Dorothea Lange. Besides showing at Leica galleries in New York, Washington, D.C., Boston, and London, Penman’s signature street photography has appeared in international exhibitions as far afield as Venice, Berlin, and Sydney.He also tours the world teaching workshops on photography for Leica Akademie. He was recently named among the “52 Most Influential Street Photographers,” alongside such legends as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Sebastião Salgado, Diane Arbus, and Garry Winogrand. Penman’s first book, Street, published in 2019, became a best-seller and was featured at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Svetlana Puricel is the RossArt gallery @rossartgallery founder, a curator, art collector, and a specialist in sustainable development based in Switzerland since 2016. She is a mother to a small daughter. At the Sotheby’s Institute of Art @sothebysinstitute she completed her studies as an art gallery manager. With a previous university degree in Natural Sciences at Saint Petersburg State University, she has defended a master’s dissertation on the role of photographic images in sustainable development at the University of Zurich @uzh.ch Since 2017, Svetlana organises contemporary art and photography exhibitions in Zurich, conducts cultural and educational events, and manages interdisciplinary projects. She has collaborated with various institutions including Kulturhaus Helferei, Photobastei, and the University of Zurich.

This passion for improvement is something I love to share in my workshops, where I create a warm and supportive environment for every student. For the past six years, I’ve been teaching specialized workshops focused on studio portrait photography. I love sharing my knowledge and helping others build confidence with studio lighting, posing, and composition. My workshops are very hands-on because I believe the best way to learn is by doing. There’s nothing more rewarding for me than seeing my students improve and watching their excitement as they create beautiful portraits.I speak Hungarian, German, and English, so my workshops are open to a diverse group of students. Photographer &amp; Digital Publisher from Bern.Even as a child, I couldn't keep my hands off my parents' camera - even if that occasionally resulted in empty rolls of film. In 2012, I completed my training as a photography specialist, and since then photography has been a daily part of my life.&nbsp;In 2014, I founded my own small photography company, focussing on business photography: from product images and business portraits to reportages for hotels and restaurants.My passion has already taken me halfway around the world for photo assignments - for example to Sri Lanka, where I was able to document an Ayurveda resort. But I'm also out and about with my camera outside of work - be it at sunrise in the mountains or exploring unknown places. ‘I used to look at the pictures in travel books and holiday catalogues and dream of standing on those very beaches. Today, other people do that - with the photos I've taken.’I am convinced that good photos do not depend on the camera, but on the photographer's eye. Sometimes all it takes is a change of perspective to discover something special in the everyday.And although I work digitally a lot, I still like to reach for my old analogue camera, insert a black-and-white film and treat myself to the decelerated moment of conscious photography.In my courses, I want to pass on exactly this enthusiasm - practical, uncomplicated and with a lot of joy in photography.

George Mayer is an acclaimed photographer and designer known for his compelling black-and-white imagery and innovative approach to portraiture. Born in Nizhny Tagil, Russia, in 1985, he graduated with honors in Environmental Design from the Ural College of Arts and Crafts in 2004. Following his studies, Mayer worked as an interior designer, earning recognition in national architecture and design competitions, with his work published by esteemed publishers such as Tatlin and UniverPress.Transitioning to photography in 2007, Mayer quickly made a mark by participating in international competitions, including the Photography Masters Cup and The Spider Awards. In 2011, he won the Russian photo contest Young Photographers of Russia, leading to exhibitions in Kazan, Moscow, and at the international art festival in Marsciano, Italy. That same year, he secured the title of Photographer of the Year at The Spider Awards (USA) for Outstanding Achievements in Black-and-White Photography.Mayer's project "Shadows" earned him the Photographer of the Year award at the International Photography Awards, with the ceremony held at Carnegie Hall in New York City. In 2017, his series "Light. Shadows. Perfect Woman." won first prize in the Portraiture category at the Sony World Photography Awards, leading to widespread publication and exhibition at Somerset House in London. Andrea Sanchini is a fine art landscape photographer based in Bern, Switzerland. Originally from Italy, he draws inspiration from the Swiss Alps, Romantic painting, and a lifelong passion for nature. Specializing in authentic, painterly images of alpine lakes, glaciers, and wild valleys, Andrea crafts his photographs with technical precision and natural light, without digital manipulation. His work has earned international awards, including the European Photography Award for Swiss Landscape (2025), and has been featured in the Natural Landscape Photography Awards art book.

Ambient Street Photography &amp; Photobooks&nbsp;Jill Corral is a Zürich-based photographer who has exhibited work in Tokyo, New York, Zürich, Geneva, and Seattle. Originally from all corners of the United States, she has also lived in France and Japan and speaks English, French, and Spanish. She has been composing and taking artful photos of people and cities since childhood.&nbsp;Her primary focus is atmospheric and surrealist street photography that captures the essence of places and the people in them. While best known for monochrome work, Jill also deploys color to bold effect for botanical, cookbook, and event photography. She has written articles for photography publications like PetaPixel, DIY Photography, and DigitalRev.&nbsp;Jill's professional career as a designer and writer in the technology industry informs her lens on storytelling, composition, technical and artistic experimentation. This includes photobook curation and publishing under her own imprint, and helping people find their own artistic voices through creative workshops and photowalks.&nbsp;She is fascinated by liminal "in-between" spaces in life and art, and inspired by cinematography, graphic arts, and ambient design. Influences include life-long multidisciplinary artists like Agnès Varda, Brian Eno, Patti Smith, Daidō Moriyama, and Yayoi Kusama.&nbsp;A nomad in spirit, she values curiosity and creative freedom above all things. She recently spent a year living on three continents out of a small suitcase, with a Ricoh GRIII as her only camera.

Zer Erdoğan was born in Elbistan, Kahramanmaraş. Her educational journey began in a village primary school, continued through secondary school and high school in Bremen, Germany, and concluded at university in Istanbul.She started taking photos during her university years.For her, it wasn’t about mastering the technical aspects of photography; it was more about being able to see and capture the moment.She especially enjoys photographing people on the street—their posture, their expressions. Because even as someone simply walks, they carry with them their sadness, hope, longing, regret, and, if they have it, their love. Whenever she sees a stance or an expression that tells her something, it becomes a photograph for her. She feels like it becomes part of her—it becomes her energy.She believes a photo should also communicate what she sees. That’s why she reads a lot about photography.Zer has been doing professional street photography for many years. She is also the founder of @mystreet_bnw and @mystreet_women accounts and curates in many hubs. Moreover&nbsp;she is a jury member in many photography competitions.For her, photography is a passion. That’s also why she usually carries her camera with her.

I learned to understand people in all their diversity during my training in socio-cultural animation and my work in healthcare. Photography allows me to make this uniqueness visible. For years, I have been portraying people as they really are: unpretentious, expressive and with a clear eye for what makes them special. Whether events, business portraits or editorials: for me, the focus is always on the person – their attitude, their character and the subtle details that make them unique. I acquired my technical skills partly through self-study and partly through further training and workshops with experienced photographers. With my Master's degree in Digital Post Production (LABASAD), I have expanded my work to include professional image editing. This allows me to accompany each image through the entire process – from the first click to the finished result. With dot RAW Studio GmbH, I have created a place that is much more than a rental studio: a modern space for professional photo and video productions, where photography, post-production, make-up, styling and creative concept development come together. I believe that the most powerful images are created where trust, expertise and creativity come together. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and working with others to sharpen their eye for what is special in photography.

Growing up in Switzerland, she felt the desire to discover the world at an early age and has since lived in various places around the globe. Her professional career has been colourful and diverse, shaped by curiosity and creativity, with experience in a wide range of industries. Today, she pursues her passions in the fields of photography and film, fashion and journalism.For her, photography is more than just capturing an image – it is a way of perceiving the world and people more consciously. Things that one would otherwise pass by without noticing suddenly become visible and meaningful. It is fascinating how photography sharpens the eye: suddenly one recognises beauty in details, in light, in structures – in everything that one might otherwise have overlooked. For her, encountering people from different cultures in front of the camera means making individual beauty, expression and stories visible. She finds it difficult to commit to just one subject – her photographic interests are too diverse: from reportage, fashion and art to architecture, events and nature.Teaching photography is something very special for her. Not only because she can pass on her knowledge, but also because she wants to share her passion with others. She encourages her students not to simply copy others, but to discover their own style and live it with confidence. Like everything else in life, photography is subject to constant change – and that is precisely where the opportunity lies to break new ground and develop your own visual language. Modern image editing in particular opens up fascinating possibilities today: you can not only optimise photos, but also rethink them as a creative means of expression and design them individually. For her, creativity is not a question of talent, but of perspective and the willingness to look closely. She is convinced that you can develop your creative eye like any other skill. And the more you live it, observe it and understand it, the more things fall into place – like a puzzle that suddenly makes sense.
