What is a photography trip with Swiss Photo Club?
What makes a Swiss Photo Club photography trip different from an ordinary group tour? Everything revolves around photography. You travel in a small group of 3 to 7 participants, accompanied by an experienced travel photographer who knows every destination personally.
We shoot at the best times of day — at sunrise, during golden hour and blue hour. While other tour groups head out at midday, we use the perfect light for spectacular shots. On location, you receive composition workshops and individual feedback on your photos.
Accommodation, local transport and all workshops are typically included. Whether landscape, street, wildlife or astrophotography — we offer photo trips for every interest and every experience level.
Best time for a photo trip
The best time to travel depends on your destination and preferred photography style:
- Morocco: October to April — mild climate, soft desert light over the Sahara
- Iceland: September to March for northern lights, June to August for midnight sun
- Lofoten (Norway): February to March for snow and aurora, June to July for midnight sun
- Nepal: October to November and March to April — clear views of Himalayan peaks
- Cappadocia: April to June and September to November — ideal light for hot air balloons
- Tuscany: April to June and September to October — soft light, green hills
