Location

Where do we go?

Bregaglia is one of the four Italian-speaking valleys in Graubünden and already has a lot of southern flair. We hike through colorful forests, across idyllic alpine pastures and to picturesque lakes. The scenery is simply breathtaking and offers us countless opportunities for unique shots. We experiment with the settings of our cameras, look for the best light and play with the different colors and contrasts.

An unforgettable photo excursion in Bergell, which is rewarded with wonderful photos. The summer colors enchant with a magical atmosphere. An incomparable and original place to capture a summer landscape in the mountains.

Day 1

Arrival: Afternoon, tour of Soglio

Meeting point 14h37 (arrival of the post bus) Soglio Plaza

We explore the original Soglio and turn our cameras towards the granite giants of the Sciora Massif, which present themselves to us as if on a platter. We will capture the evening atmosphere in and around the village of Soglio with its unique houses and then head for dinner with the best views.

Day 2

Excursion to the Albigna reservoir

Another highlight of the trip. The Albigna reservoir with its rugged granite and glacier landscape offers everything a photographer's heart desires, from the deep blue glacial lake to the view of the glaciated mountains. The contrasts of the flora, paired with the granite slabs, rugged rocky peaks, the lake and the glacier make for a fantastic and unique photo backdrop. After dinner, those who still want to will set off to photograph the Sciora peaks with the Milky Way not far from the house. An unforgettable experience in a unique setting!

Day 3

Excursion to Maloja to the Lägh da Cavloc

We hike for about an hour there and an hour back. We are surrounded by an incredible mountain world and at the end of the hike we reach a uniquely beautiful mountain lake that makes every photographer's heart beat faster. Back in Maloja, I take those who still want to go to the Belvedere viewpoint not far from Maloja with a unique view down into the Bergell valley.

Day 4

Soglio-Castasegna

We hike downhill from Soglio for about an hour. The path, which is always characterized by fantastic views, soon leads past a huge cascade and through a small tunnel at the back... fantastic! The final descent towards Castasegna is via the chestnut nature trail in a magnificent chestnut grove. End of course approx. 13h

Manuel Kurth

My love of nature and the beauty of the world that surrounds us inspire my photographs.

I have a special interest in landscape photography. My photos are characterised by the attention to detail and the observation of light and shadow, which in combination result in beautiful creations. My aim is to represent a mood and a landscape in such a way that the character of the landscape and its uniqueness is preserved. In contrast to a work of art, I don't want to create anything new, but to represent the landscape in the best moment for my taste.

The courses give me the stimulation and the exchange that is important in my work, to remain curious and to keep breaking new ground.
