Master Your Camera & Photography Basics in Just One Day
Stop relying on Auto mode and start taking better photos, guaranteed. Our One-Day Beginner Photography Course is designed to quickly teach you how to use your DSLR or mirrorless camera, master key settings, and apply essential photography techniques with hands-on practice.
In the first four hours, we’ll teach you only the most essential photography concepts—exposure, composition, shooting modes, focus, and key camera settings—so you can start seeing results fast. We break everything down into simple, easy-to-understand terms, so you won’t feel overwhelmed. After a well-earned lunch break, we’ll head outdoors for three hours of hands-on practice, where you’ll apply what you’ve learned with the support of our friendly, experienced instructors.
What You'll Learn:
- Camera Confidence: Master your settings & leave Auto mode behind
- Perfect Exposure: Balance shutter speed, aperture, and ISO for sharp, well-lit images
- Photography Gear: How to use different lenses and equipment – and why
- Creative Composition: Learn how to elevate your photos and make them more visually appealing
Who Can Join:
- This class is open to complete beginners as well as anyone with some experience but gaps in their theoretical knowledge. If you aren't comfortable with the exposure triangle (or don't know what it is), this is the class for you.
- Bring your DSLR or mirrorless camera. Any camera with a shooting mode selector (P, A/Av, S/Tv, M) is fine. No camera? No problem. We can lend you one of ours during the course (just tell us in advance if you need one).
