Photography Course for Teens — Weekend Workshop
Photography Course for Teens — Weekend Workshop
Course Info
A fun, hands-on photography course for teens aged 12 to 17. Over a single weekend — two engaging half-days — your teen learns photography with a professional instructor who genuinely connects with this age group. They leave with real technical skills, a portfolio of images they made themselves, and the confidence that comes with mastering something new
Why parents choose this course
- Small groups, max 8 students — every teen gets real attention and one-to-one time with the instructor
- Instructor who's great with teens — patient, energetic, and experienced with this age group, not just an adult course adapted down
- Real skills, not screen time — aperture, shutter speed, ISO, composition, and lighting, taught through hands-on practice
- Weekend format that fits around school — 2 × 3.5 hours, Saturday and Sunday mornings
- Certificate of completion and money-back guarantee — Swiss Photo Club is rated 4.95 / 5 by our students
What your teen will learn
Photography is far more than pressing a button. Over the weekend, your teen moves from auto mode to full creative control, learns the language photographers actually use, and discovers that a camera can be a tool for thinking, observing, and expressing. By Sunday afternoon they'll understand exposure, light, and composition well enough to keep developing on their own — and they'll have the images to prove it.
Who it's for
Recommended for teens aged 12 to 17. Motivated 11-year-olds with a genuine interest in photography are welcome too — we look at maturity and motivation more than the year on the calendar.
What to bring
A digital camera (DSLR or mirrorless ideally — bridge cameras also work), comfortable clothes, and curiosity. Snacks are included.
